The Virginia Blogs: The Gift of Meat

I came home the other day and Tom greeted me at the door. "I bought you a gift!" he declared.

A gift? I asked.

"Yeah!"

What did you buy me?, I asked in the most suspicious tone you can imagine.

"Meat!"

Meat? What?

"Go look in the kitchen!"

Lo and behold, a box of meat.

Well, how did I get this box of beef? It seems that Tom was outside having a cigarette and a gentleman driving this Stone Creek truck came by to see if he was interested in buying some. Tom liked what was in the box, and told the guy, "If you can get that in the freezer, I'll buy it."

*crying with laughter*

So we now have enough steak to last until sometime in mid-July. Now all we need is a grill.
